Childbirth is like having a tooth pulled
Laughing gas is making a return as a pain option for laboring mothers. WTH? I’ve only been offered laughing gas once during a root canal or filling (I can’t remember which) and after 2 seconds I demanded they take it off of my face. WHY would a woman want laughing gas as they are birthing their baby? Is having a baby like having a tooth pulled or worked on? Just a minor annoyance, something that needs to be taken care of? Sure, please give me some laughing gas so I can laugh as I push my baby out <insert vomit smiley>. Why is it that Childbirth is seen as a “medical procedure” nowadays? Maybe I just got “lucky” with my girls but I don’t think I’d ask for laughing gas if it was offered at the time.
